Revelation 2:1-29
“To the angel of the church in Ephesus write: ‘The words of him who holds the seven stars in his right hand, who walks among the seven golden lampstands. “‘I know your works, your toil and your patient endurance, and how you cannot bear with those who are evil, but have tested those who call themselves apostles and are not, and found them to be false. I know you are enduring patiently and bearing up for my name's sake, and you have not grown weary. But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent. .

Religion has become less of a priority and more of a tool to move people into a direction in which is taught to go. Every teacher and every student holds a spirit inside them that is unseen to the naked eye but we know a portion of who they are because of their physical presence and mannerisms. This is what makes us spiritual beings and also makes us Godly beings in physical form. It often makes me wonder as to what it means to be Godly and if being Godly is a good thing to be. Finding that out, "Godly" is to simply be devoted and committed. It doesnt state if whether one should be devoted to whom or even what to be devoted to. At times we may find ourselves drawing away from God and becoming devoted and "Godly " to other sources and beings. This is what makes us undevoted to the spiritual purpose of who God really is. I guess this is what creates the sin in us or what some would say the "beast" in us.
To be evil, is to be devoted to evil doing and detached from righteousness. Just because one may appear Godly doesnt mean that their heart is in the right place or that they are even devoted to the right cause. It is as similar to a basketball player looking to hoop in a soccer field. We all know that they are both sports, but not very much so the same game. Just as God and the Devil both being Godly forces that are not on the same pathway in the spiritual world. It is funny how we can find these same powerful traits within us as we fight our inner demons and then turn around and do something good for the acts of mankind. It really all balls down to what or who is it that you are really devoted to?
